Little Caesar's Isn't the Best Pizza in Rexburg. Here's Why:
Well sure, you can get an entire pizza for $5, but is it really your best option? Rexburg answered our cravings for authentic pizza, and we think there’s a real winner this week. So whether you’re out grabbing lunch with an old friend, or you girlfriend can’t pick a place to eat, we’re happy to be of service.
Like always, we will not be reviewing chain restaurants and will be judging on these 5 topics:
1. Price Range
2. Food Quality/Taste
3. Restaurant Location
4. Restaurant Accommodation
5. Menu Diversity
We’ll start with our absolute favorite: Righteous Slice
Righteous Slice
Customers get a very Instagrammable backdrop for their food pics.Even though we don’t take chain restaurants into consideration, we can see this company popping up everywhere. Righteous Slice has been in Rexburg for a few years now, and stands out by offering authentic-style pizzas with new takes on flavors. One of BYU-Idaho’s business teachers and his wife are the owners and love doing what they do.
1. Price: Customers can snag an authentic Italian-style pizza from anywhere from $7.50-12. The pizza size is more than enough to fill you up, but you most likely will have plenty to share. Other menu items differ in price, but will warn you that the caesar salad feeds 2+ people for only $10 AND comes with slices of cheesy focaccia bread pizza. The restaurant also just started selling pizza by the slice for a more affordable option, making it even easier to drop by right after class.
2. Quality/Taste: You can’t beat the taste of a Righteous Slice pizza. The owners of the restaurant have their top-notch ingredients imported from Italy. Their special pizza flavors give you a reason to use the phrase, “quality you can taste.”
3. Location: Sitting pretty in Hemming Village, Righteous Slice is 0.4 miles from campus, making it a walkable distance from class AND Porter Park.
4. Accommodation: This restaurant is a 2-story building, with a very open design and urban feel. The upstairs is home to a cool graffiti backdrop, The Burg shakes, and the Cove’s huge tv screen.
5. Diversity: Not feeling pizza? Order a salad, panini, dessert pizza, or shake. Not feeling the topping options? Create your own pizza to your own liking. Some of the unique pizza options include fig spread & balsamic, potato & rosemary, lemon & artichoke, and our favorite, spicy italian sausage and honey. If you don’t know where to start, ask for the ‘Bee Sting’.

Flat Rock
Flat Rock Pizza is located in the same restaurant space as the Hickory and due to the location, is a popular date night spot after catching a movie at Fat Cats.
1. Price: Pizza lovers can order pizza in three different sizes:
8 in. for $6.99
10 in for $9.99
12 in. for $12.99
2. Quality/Taste: Flat Rock Pizza offers a great tasting pizza to cure your pizza cravings. Let us recommend the barbecue pizza, the use The Hickory's BBQ!
3. Location: Flat Rock Pizza is in the hustle and bustle of shops in Rexburg, but is more suited to those with access to a car. Those 1.2 miles from campus will not be as easy to traverse during Rexburg winter.
4. Accommodation: Flat Rock is a sit-down restaurant with cute and homey decorations all round. It is a great option for anyone from families to fiancees.
5. Diversity: The menu is solely made up of pizza, but includes create-your-own pizzas with unlimited toppings.

Pizza Pie Cafe
The last time you had Pizza Pie Cafe might have been when you were 14 at EFY, but it’s worth a second chance. Buffets may having you feel some type of way, but Pizza Pie Cafe is a great place to get a great bang for your buck.
1. Price: Customers can get all-you-can-eat pizza, pasta, and salad for under $10 per person during lunch. Lots of families visit the restaurant because smaller kids eat for free.
2. Quality/Taste: ‘Buffet quality’ may not have the best impression in your mind, but Pizza Pie cafe will leave you satisfied. By far, the pizza is the best menu item, but the variety helps when trying to please a group of people.
3. Location: The restaurant is located 0.8 miles from campus on the way to Albertsons, so students have a reasonable distance to cover before getting unlimited pizza.
4. Accommodation: Customers can help themselves to seating and serving. With all the families and parties that tend to come in waves, we wish there was more seating options even though there are rooms to reserve and alcoves to have cozy date nights.
5. Diversity: Given its name, Pizza Pie Cafe offers anywhere from 12-24 different pizzas, but also includes unlimited options with a make-your-own salad bar and pasta counter.

Frescos & Doorza
This debate has been made before, but we had to test it out one more time. After trying out a different dish option, we would say that there is more of a difference between restaurants.
1.Price: Frescos offers slightly larger than personal pizzas starting at $10.99, while Doorza sells large pizzas beginning at $6.99.
2. Quality/Taste: Customers can still taste a difference between the two companies’ pizzas. Doorza offers great quality and taste for their asking price, especially with their signature garlic crust. While Frescos is regarded as a nicer spot in town, we weren’t blown away by their margarita pizza. The tomatoes on top were just big cherry tomatoes slices in half, leaving the pizza pretty moist.
3. Location: the shared kitchen is located 1.6 miles away from the Brigham Young University-Idaho campus, close to the I-20.
4. Accommodation: As in our previous post, it’s difficult to compare the accommodation for Frescos and Doorza. While Frescos is pricier with nice seating, Doorza is more affordable with only a delivery option.
5. Diversity: Both restaurants offer more than just pizza, but Frescos offers a more balanced, dinner-date feel to their menu while Doorza is a casual pizza delivery service.
